We are pleased to extend a warm invitation to the Finnish Evaluation Society’s international workshop to hear the results of the research and discuss evaluation approaches and methods in China and Finland.
The lecturer of the workshop is Dr. Zhou Xingguo, a visiting researcher from the University of Turku, Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS). Dr. Zhou has been focusing her research on the impacts of external evaluations in both Finland and China. She will provide us with a brief introduction to her research topic, sharing introduction on Chinese evaluation systems with expectation to spark stimulating discussions among workshop audience.

- Reflections on Methodological Choices: Discussing why Finland and China choose certain methodological approaches and the contextual factors that influence these choices.
- Contextual and Structural Factors: Understanding the contextual factors that define Finnish methodological choices which can be improved (hypothetically).
- Lessons Learned and Best Practices: Sharing insights and best practices from Finnish and Chinese evaluation institutions.
17.00 Summary and conclusion
The online methods workshop will be organised over Teams in English. The Teams-link will be sent by 3 June 2024 to the people who have signed up.
